Stig Leander Nielsen, the designer, says: "I wanted to create a child's bed, the Leander Bed, as a natural extension to the idea behind the Leander cradle. It annoys me that children’s beds are so traditional, not taking the needs of the children into account. That's why I wanted to combine practicality of use with simple design language. We develop our products at the level of the child and experience the world through our little ones need for comfort and development."
The Leander Cot meets Australian Standard AS2172.
